Game: Throwing your sins away!
Material
needed: Paper, pencils, masking
tape or fixed rope. Preparation:
Cut in half regular
sheets of paper (8.5" x 11"), one half sheet for each child. In a large enough room
tape a dividing line with masking tape or rope or any kind of
band. The game: Ask the children to
write on one piece of paper their sins (explain to them that a sin is
something you sometime do or have done to make God sad. Examples:
disobey mom or dad, calling someone bad name, hurting little brother or
sister, ect.) Ask them to write as many as possible. After writing the sins,
ask them to make a ball with that paper and come to the room where you
will play the game. Before you explain how
to play the game, ask a child if you can read what he wrote on the paper.
Ask the child if he want to throw away his sins or keep
them. "Of course you want to
throw far away those sins and never see them again!. So you and your team
will make sure that we get rid of those sins as much as
possible." Divided in two teams
make them stand couple feet from the dividing line. Then at your signal
make each team has to throw away their balls and all the balls they
received from the other team. After
exactly 60 secondes give them a signal to stop (count the last 5 seconds;
5-4-3-2-1 stop!). Count the numbers of balls each team has, the one with
the lest balls is the winner.
